Legal education
Our approach to legal education
Our focus on real-world thinking and doing through practical assessments enables our students to be career-ready. Our graduates are highly employable with 84.7% of postgraduate students finding full time employment within four months of completion of their studies (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2019-2021) and 89.3% of undergraduate students finding full time employment within four months of completion of their studies (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2019-2021).
Our approach to legal education is dynamic and progressive. We are a community of educators – who all bring a depth and breadth of expertise to our programs.
Law academics bring their impactful research to their teaching, enabling students to learn about the ability of the law to change society and to deepen their study in areas of interest. Professionals and lawyers contribute to our teaching program as casual academics. They bring their professional experience and expertise to their teaching and provide students with opportunities to learn about the range of careers for law graduates. Many of these casual academics are UTS alumni and their desire to ‘give back’ is a testament to their own experience as a UTS law student.
