Director's message
The establishment of the Human Performance Research centre marks the beginning of a new era in research in sport and exercise science, health and human performance. Through innovative thinking, collaboration and partnership, our work highlights the relationships between physical exercise and optimal performance, health and wellbeing. The centre has broad capability and research focus including training sciences, talent and expertise in human movement, sports medicine and rehabilitation, sport and exercise in health, sport technology and sport education and coaching.
The Human Performance Research centre is supported by world-class infrastructure and the state of the art research laboratories in the new UTS Rugby Australia Building, our home alongside several leading sporting organisations in Sydney’s premier central sporting precinct. Our location provides a unique environment for developing strong collaborative partnerships with sport industry and other research groups aligned with the central theme of sport, exercise and health.
Through our research and engagement with high performance sport, government organisations, schools and health professionals, we are committed to advancing knowledge and informing professional practice. Our team is expanding quickly and we welcome researchers, sports and health practitioners to explore collaborative opportunities.
