Key faculty research contacts

Each of our Schools has a Responsible Academic Officer (RAO) who is typically the Deputy Head of School for Research. The School RAO acts on behalf of the Head of School for all research-related matters pertaining to the strategic oversight along with the academic and administrative recommendations regarding research in your School.

Each School also has a School Academic Officer (SAO) to provide research support to the RAO and their unit. This includes research-related matters for staff as well as all internal aspects of Higher Degree by Research.

Faculty Higher Degree by Research (HDR) team

Provides administrative oversight on HDR matters related to pre-enrolment enquiries such as admission and scholarship opportunities, event coordination and workshops for the development of HDR candidates and their supervisors, along with internal funding opportunities for enrolled research candidates.

Faculty research engagement team

Provides strategic advice on a broad range of competitive industry-linked funding schemes (including ARC ITRP, ARC Linkage Projects, ARC industry fellowships CRCs and CRC-Ps) and leads the development of strategies and activities that generate an increased volume in research funding from industry, government and grant funding bodies.
