Learn about UTS Research Centres in Vietnam

The UTS-VNU Joint Technology and Innovation Research Centre (JTIRC) between UTS and VNU, Hanoi, launched in 2017, was the first partnership of its kind between Australia and Vietnam.

In 2018, UTS and VNU, Ho Chi Minh City launched the UTS-HCMUT Joint Technology and Innovation Research Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, with a driving focus on cyber security and Internet of Things for smart cities.

The two research centres in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City aim to foster excellence in research collaboration and technology transfer through PhD training, expert exchange programs and industry engagement.

Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park

Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park is the first and largest hi-tech park in Vietnam, and one of only three national-level high-tech parks.  It was created with the intention to become Vietnam's leading high-tech industry cluster for manufacturing, research and development, and innovation. The park is located close to several education and training institutions, which enhances its research and development capabilities and provides it with access to skilled labour.
