Meet Monica
Originally from Bangalore, India, international student Monica George wasn't sure what to expect when she moved to Sydney to study at UTS.
Studying and living in Sydney has always been a dream, and after I came here as a tourist, I fell in love with the place. UTS had the course I wanted to do, and it was also affordable because of the scholarships that were available.
The application process was smooth and before she knew it, life as a UTS dual degree student was underway. She thrived on the collaborative nature of her course, and the wealth of opportunities to balance theoretical knowledge with practical application--a hallmark of the UTS experience.
Today, she's applying her skills in industry, working as a Product Activation Marketer, Hearing Protection and Disposable Respirators at 3M. In this role, she uses her knowledge to enhance the client experience of 3M's personal safety products, applying the strategic thinking, materials management and decision-making skills she gained in her course.
