So what do you get up to on work experience?
Curious about what you’ll be getting up to outside of the classroom? At UTS, the opportunities for work experience are endless. We sat down with a few of our ambassadors to hear about their internship experiences during their time at UTS. Here’s what they had to say…
Welcome to Wall Street
It’s not every day you get to wake up in your Manhattan apartment and head down to Wall Street to go to work. That was the reality for Law and Business student, Georgie, who scored a two-month internship at an international not for profit in New York. And when she wasn’t at work? She was traversing the city that never sleeps for the best eats and beats (and celebrities).
Money, Money, Money
Reporting on the federal budget can be daunting for any journalist. Annastasia was able to head down to Canberra with a team of journalists to help unpack and report on the 2018 and 2019 federal budgets. As a Law and Business (Accounting) student, she was the perfect person to help explain the situation, and gain an invaluable experience!
Go Global
Even in the times where we can’t travel, our students are still undertaking international internships. Law and Communications student, Tutti, undertook a 6-week internship with the University of California, Berkeley’s Center on Anti-discrimination and Comparative Equality Law. Rubbing shoulders (virtually) with legal academics from around the world exposed her to the legal inequalities on a global scale.
