Five questions to ask on Info Day!
Still unsure about which course you want to study? Don’t worry, we’re here to help. Info Day is your chance to speak 1-1 with UTS staff, attend an info session or join a campus tour to discover more about your options at UTS.
1. What should I do if I don’t get my dream ATAR?
It's okay! There are plenty of pathways to get into UTS, which can be explored at Info Day. We recommend heading to one of our "Admission Pathways and Schemes" info sessions or visiting one of our advising hubs to explore your course and pathways options.
2. What's the difference between these two courses I'm interested in?
Are you still tossing up which course is right for you? Not a problem! Head over to our "General course information" advising hub, where our experts can discuss course options with you and give you more insight into the perfect degree for you.
3. Are there any prerequisites for my degree?
The great thing about studying at UTS is that there are no prerequisites for our degrees. This means it's not a make-or-break if you haven’t completed prior learning in that area. Some courses may have assumed knowledge which you can ask about on the day, but if you haven't completed an area of assumed knowledge we also offer bridging courses to help prepare you for your studies and learning in the uni environment.
4. How do I finalise my UAC preferences before tonight?
The day's finally arrived where you decide on which courses to place on your UAC preference list! You may be nervous so we want to ensure you receive all the assistance you need to complete this correctly. Visit the UAC advising hub on the day and ask all those last-minute questions you may have about preferencing.
5. Why should I choose to study at UTS?
While we can tell you that we're Australia’s number 1 Young University* and offer state-of-the-art facilities, we think it's best to talk to one of our student ambassadors (the experts on university life) about why they chose to study at UTS. Our student ambassadors will be around all day to tell you about their UTS experience and they'll even take you on a campus tour so you can see for yourself how great the facilities are!
