I graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2012. Since graduating I've worked in numerous sectors including within an international organisation (United Nations), public sector (Department of Defence), private practice (Maddocks) and in-house (Ernst & Young).
In each of these roles I have worked across a diverse range of tech-related areas, including: artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, automation, cyber and data security, digital transformation and the use of emerging technology. The skills, methods and knowledge I acquired during my Juris Doctor have equipped me to draw valuable experiences from all my roles, which I attribute to the Juris Doctor’s focus on a pragmatic and adaptable approach to legal practice.
In my current role at Cognizant, I apply my specialist contractual drafting, negotiation and legal advisory skills to help Cognizant to deliver data and cloud solutions, technology modernisation and digital transformation services to its clients.
My interest in the nexus between technology and the law started during my JD and has been fostered throughout my career. I enjoy working alongside the constant adaptation and change in the law as emerging technologies shape our communities and businesses.
