Learn how to defer your offer as an international student at UTS.
Deferring your offer
If you are unable to commence your study for the intake specified on your offer letter, you may be able to apply to defer your degree. You can request to defer your offer for up to 12 months. To apply, you will need to state the intake you wish to commence your studies at UTS and the reason you wish to defer.
If you wish to defer, you must apply in writing before the deadline in your letter of offer. If you applied through an agent, please contact your agent to arrange deferment. If you applied directly, contact us by email at international.applications@uts.edu.au
Not all courses can be deferred to the Spring session (starting July) because some courses only have an intake in Autumn session (February/March start).
If your deferment is approved
If your deferment is approved you will be sent a new offer. This means you will not need to reapply to UTS. The new offer will be subject to the entry requirements and fees applicable to the new intake.
