Since completing degrees in Human Movement Studies (now Sport and Exercise Science) and Physiotherapy, Nathan has worked across a wide variety of high-level sports and with numerous professional and semi-professional athletes. He was the Physiotherapist for the NSW Country Cockatoos Rugby Union team for eight years. This included tours overseas and various matches around Australia in the Australian Rugby Shield. Nathan is currently the Head Physiotherapist for the South Sydney Rabbitohs NSW Cup side (North Sydney Bears). In this role, Nathan works closely with South Sydney NRL players who are returning from injury and contracted squad members of the North Sydney Bears. Nathan regularly attends NRL training and rehabilitation sessions where he liaises with the High Performance staff and Medical staff to ensure a smooth transition for these players back into 1st grade. Nathan also contributes to the learning experience of UTS students by lecturing two subjects relating to Sport and Exercise Medicine and Exercise Rehabilitation. In addition to his formal university training, Nathan completed post-graduate courses in Sports Physiotherapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, Mulligan Techniques, Dry-Needling and Kinesio-Taping. He has a special interest in the rehabilitation of knee and back injuries.
