Master of Physiotherapy (C04306)
Innovative and practice-based, the degree is an intensive two-year program that is designed for people who have completed a number of relevant prerequisite subjects at the undergraduate level – subjects that may be covered by a Bachelor of Exercise Science, Exercise Management, Health Science or a related degree.
The program combines research, practice and new technologies in a course that's focussed firmly on the future. Our content is underpinned by a rigorous evidence base that is informed by the latest research in physiotherapy. You'll study musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopaedic and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy across the lifespan of a patient, as well as gerontology, sports physiotherapy, occupational health and paediatric care.
Beyond theoretical learning, you'll build key professional skills, such as clinical reasoning, quality assurance, research, teamwork, effective communication, and leadership. Clinical simulation - the practical application of your theoretical learning, such as role plays and the use of high fidelity mannequins to mimic real-world environments - will prepare you for clinical placements, and for the realities of work in your chosen area.
