My experience with UTS and the lecturers delivering the training so far has been fantastic.

Why did you take up the BBA?
Why did you take up the BBA?
I had done quite a lot of research to find the course that I was looking to enrol in. I knew the course had to be relevant to the business environment, because my ambition is to one day become a CEO. In December 2014 I called UTS to obtain information on how the application process works and courses that were available. I never thought I would get the opportunity to attend university until I spoke with a consultant at Jumbunna. Marketing, Finance and Economics were the three key things I wanted to learn within the degree; the BBA covers these areas along with other aspects.
How are you finding the degree so far?
The block release is an ideal way to balance work and study commitments. Rather than undertaking a degree online I’ve found it far more effective in attending UTS and being exposed to hands on and face to face interaction. As a mature aged intake, everyone has different experiences and a wealth of knowledge which we can all share.
My experience with UTS and the lecturers delivering the training so far has been fantastic. People I’ve met and spoken with that have studied different degrees speak highly of their experience at UTS.
How do you see this degree advancing your career?
So far the learning experience about principles of marketing, finance and economics will assist me in establishing strategies within my employment where I can develop a range of statistical reports, project management, change management and budget costs. The course has helped me understand all these particular areas. The financial subject has been the most enjoyable aspect of the BBA course.
What is the most rewarding thing about the degree?
Coming from a regional town in the Northern Territory, with limited employment and education, UTS has set the foundation for greater career opportunities. My ambition is to be a role model for my family, the greater community and anyone seeking in undertaking a business degree.
