While I work in law, I rely on what I learned during my UTS Business degree every day.
I chose business at UTS because of its modern approach to traditional business concepts. The business environment is constantly evolving, and it was important to me to study at a university that could adapt to these changes. This ensured that what I was learning accurately reflected the business environment I would eventually work in and made me a competitive and well-rounded graduate.
Throughout my studies at UTS I have learned that business concepts are applicable to every professional environment. Regardless of whether you work directly in business, or in another area, an appreciation of key business concepts will enhance your understanding of your own speciality and the broader commercial environment. While I work in law, I rely on what I learned during my UTS Business degree every day. My knowledge of business makes me a better lawyer and allows me to take on responsibilities in more business centric areas, including leadership roles.
I am most proud of the extra-curricular activities I participated in during my time at UTS. I made the most of the opportunities presented to me. This enabled me to complement my learning with enriching practical experiences and apply the skills I had developed during my studies to solve real world problems.
