It was wonderful to see such material support for women in business.
I chose the EMBA at UTS for a number of reasons. Firstly, I am passionate about emerging technology and entrepreneurship; the EMBA was the only program I could find in NSW that offered such a deep focus on such topics; as well as technical learnings from the traditional MBA across finance / accounting / strategy, and other critical business domains. It was also wonderful to see such material support for women in business from the “Women in Entrepreneurship” scholarship, of which I am a proud recipient. To me this signified a truly progressive stance on gender equality in business leadership, which aligns with my personal values. This, along with the great course content, solidified the UTS EMBA as the best program for me and my career progression.
The EMBA offers the content required to elevate oneself into a position of business leadership; the program touches on the leadership components of all necessary elements of business strategy. In essence, the program teaches you the skills you might learn “on the job” in leadership positions over a number of years in industry, but in an accelerated fashion and with academic best practice.
I am proud of the level of resilience and the elevated work ethic I was able to bring to both a full-time MBA, and a demanding career in Consulting in a Big 4 company. I also am proud of the process myself and the rest of the cohort went through in the ventures stream of the EMBA program. We learnt how to conceive of, build, and stress-test a tech venture throughout the course of the program. For future entrepreneurial pursuits, this will be an invaluable skillset.
