I found all the peers and all the staff at UTS really friendly in helping you improve in your studies.
I have enjoyed my course at UTS – the peers, the teachers – I think it’s a really friendly environment. What I like is the tutorial part, where you are in smaller groups and are more engaged. The classes are good for teamwork as you’re working with people from around the world, so sometimes we’re very different in the way we approach certain assignments.
I think all the programs, like the HELPS centre and all the workshops that UTS have for free for students are amazing. As English is not my first language, at the beginning of my first semester, I was struggling with the writing and the way to present an assignment. I attended a couple of workshops which helped me a lot.
In general the quality of life Sydney offers you is amazing. I love sports, and you can do a lot of sports for free, or join football teams or play tennis and you have the beach and museums. I think it can be expensive, but it’s a very friendly city and Australians are generally really polite people too.
