The Scholarship is established in partnership with The Malaysian Australian Alumni Council (MACC) to provide high performing international students from Malaysia applying to study an undergraduate coursework degree at UTS.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Remain an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
- Be a citizen of Malaysia; and
- Commence full-time studies and on campus[1] at UTS for the first time in 2024; and
- Meet UTS admission criteria for the selected undergraduate bachelor’s degree (exclude combined courses); and
- Must be admitted based on a UTS recognized qualification with a minimum overall GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent; and
- Not be receiving any scholarship with an Australian and/or foreign sponsoring organisation or university or other UTS international scholarships or grants.
[1] On campus studies include face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning applicable to all degrees except online degrees and distance mode degrees.
Selection process
The Scholarship will be awarded to the highest ranked applicant on the basis of academic merit in the academic qualification used as a basis of admission into the selected UTS Bachelor degree program coupled with the applicant’s response to the following statement:
- Reasons for applying for the scholarship and benefits to be gained from the course of study including education and career plans.

- Autumn (February/March) 2024 - Friday, 15 December 2023
- Spring (July/August) 2024 - Tuesday, 30 April 2024
