Overview
The aim of the Richard Butler Scholarship is to encourage academic excellence in the Bachelor of Property Economics degree and promote careers within the industrial property sector by providing financial assistance and the opportunity for a paid cadetship.
The "Richard Butler Scholarship" is a legacy Scholarship supported by Stanton Hillier Parker as a tribute to Stanton Hillier Parker’s Managing Partner, Richard Butler whom they consider an icon and industry legend.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Australian or New Zealand citizen or the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or permanent humanitarian visa; and
- Be enrolled in the:
- Bachelor of Property Economics; or
- Bachelor of Property Economics Bachelor of Arts in International Studies; or
- Bachelor of Property Economics (Honours); and
- Have successfully completed a minimum of 96 credit points or equivalent in their course at the time of scholarship selection and
- Achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 or above over the duration of their current UTS course; and
- All candidates must apply using the UTS online Scholarships Application form to be eligible.
- All candidates must be available to attend an interview either face to face or via Zoom.
Selection process
As demonstrated in the Scholarship application and interview:
- Passion and motivation to succeed in their chosen UTS course and to pursue a career in Industrial/Commercial Property;
- Initiative to seek opportunities to continually advance their professional and personal lives;
- Knowledge of the property industry, particularly industrial and commercial asset classes.
