The Max Boddy Photography award is established to honour the late William Ernest Maxwell Boddy, a Melbourne photographer in the early 1930s. World War 2 military service interrupted Max's life and he later returned to civilian life as a photographer where his work was deeply inspiring. He experimented with digital photography, marvelling at the new mode's capabilities.
