Overview
UTS Science Postgraduate Academic Merit Scholarship was established to support high performing commencing domestic students to undertake a Faculty of Science postgraduate Masters by coursework program.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or be the holder of an Australian permanent resident visa or hold a permanent humanitarian visa; and
Commence full-time studies, on campus[1] at UTS in 2024 in either the Autumn or Spring Sessions proceeding offer acceptance; and
Be commencing in one of the following Master or Master (extension) postgraduate course programs in the Faculty of Science;
C04241 - Master of Science; or
C04265 - Master of Science (Extension); or
C04390 - Master Medical Biotechnology; or
C04388 - Master of Biotechnology (Extension); or
C04389 - Master of Philosophy in Medical Biotechnology; or
C04391 - Master of Forensic Science; or
C04392 - Master of Forensic Science (Extension); or
C04393 - Master of Philosophy in Forensic Science; and
- Meet course admission criteria for the eligible postgraduate coursework program; and
- Have achieved a Grade Point Average of 5.7 in a scale of 7 in their most recently completed qualification as the basis of admission and recognised by UTS for entry into the selected UTS Science postgraduate coursework program.
- Holders of a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) are not eligible for this scholarship.
[1] On campus studies include face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning teaching activities. This does not include fully online and distance mode degrees.
Selection process
Academic merit in the most recently completed qualification as the basis of admission and recognised by UTS for entry into the selected UTS Science postgraduate coursework program.
How to apply
Domestic Admissions, Future Learners Recruitment and Admissions will automatically consider all commencing domestic students applying for a postgraduate coursework program in the Faculty of Science in Sydney for Autumn and Spring session for this Scholarship.
There is no separate scholarship application or documentation in addition to what is required for the coursework application.
