Overview

To attract high achieving commencing international students completing a Diploma or Higher Diploma qualification and enrolling in an undergraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Remain an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
  • Be a citizen of Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar [Burma], Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka or South Korea; and 
  • Be admitted to UTS based on a UTS recognised Diploma or Higher Diploma qualification from Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar [Burma], Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka or South Korea and with a GPA of 3.4 out of 4.0 or equivalent; and
  • Meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate coursework program; and
  • Be commencing full-time study at UTS on campus (Sydney)[1]; and
  • Must not:
  • have undertaken or completed studies in Australia; 
  • be studying a UTS online degree or distance mode degree; or
  • be a recipient of other UTS international scholarships or grants or the UTS Alumni Advantage Program for the duration of this Scholarship; and be a government sponsored student.

[1] On campus studies include face-to-face and/or online (remote) learning applicable to all degrees except online degrees and distance mode degrees.

Selection process

Academic merit in a Diploma or Higher Diploma qualification completed from one of the listed countries listed above in the 'Who is eligible' section and recognised by UTS for entry into the selected UTS undergraduate coursework program.

How to apply

UTS Future Learner Recruitment and Admissions will automatically consider all commencing international students from the listed countries and applying for an undergraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney for this Scholarship. There is no separate scholarship application or documentation in addition to what is required for the application for course admission.
