Is Global Health in Crisis? UNSW

WHO CC UTS attended a two day conference including speakers from a wide range of global health institutions including UNSW, AusAID, NGOs, World Bank and WHO Keynote speaker: Stephen Lewis, AIDS-Free World and former UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS.

The focus of the conference was on global financial uncertainty, dwindling overseas development assistance and increasing inequalities in health, the critical issues of global health leadership and finance.

Several other meetings were held throughout 2012 with UNSW HRH HUB funded by AusAID. Continuing and strengthening the relationship between WHO CC UTS and the HUB. Prof James Buchan attended the HRH HUB advisory group meeting in December 2012.

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people, upon whose ancestral lands our university stands.
