Title : 3D imaging and 3D printing for structural heart disease intervention
Abstract : Structural heart disease intervention is a new cardiac subspecialty that involves cardiac device navigation and interaction with 3D cardiac structure in a 3D space. 3D imaging and printing are novel technologies crucial to procedural success of the intervention.
Biography : Dr. Lee is Professor of Medicine and Therapeutics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Director of Echocardiography Laboratory at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong. He was appointed Director of Laboratory of Cardiac Imaging and 3D Printing in 2018. He is a Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology, a council member of the Asian-Pacific Association of Echocardiography (Chair of Echo Asia 2021), and the Vice-President of the Greater Bay Society of Ultrasound. He is a Mayo Clinic Alumni. He has published over 200 articles on echocardiography and cardiovascular medicine and is a section editor of echocardiography of JACC Asia. He participates as principle investigator in over 20 clinical trials in CUHK. He has been awarded numerous research awards including the State Ministry of Education First-Class Award, the ESC Young Investigator Award, the CUHK Research Excellence Award, the Hong Kong College of Physicians Distinguished Research Award and Distinguished Young Fellow, the Richard Yu Lectureship, and an Expertscape Expert in 3D echocardiography.
