UTS Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Research Excellence 2016
The 2016 winners of the UTS Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Research Excellence were announced at an awards dinner at UTS on 22 September 2016. The awards celebrate the breadth and depth of UTS research, with this year’s winners spanning the areas of health technologies, human rights reform, microbial ecology, marine biotoxins, critical water infrastructure and empowering the next generation of mathematicians and statisticians. UTS Institute for Public Policy and Governance (UTS:IPPG) wishes to congratulate all winners and finalists!
UTS:IPPG Director Associate Professor Roberta Ryan was a finalist in the Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s (Research) Medal for Research Impact category. UTS:IPPG was commissioned by Sydney Water in late 2014 to conduct strategic social research. Using innovative, technology-driven choice modelling and establishing real/actual dollar willingness to pay for water in Sydney, this shaped Sydney Water’s 2016-2020 Pricing Submission to IPART, providing an evidence-base to lower the price for water in Sydney.
