Social Researcher Recognised
Alan Morris of UTS:CLG has been promoted to Professor. Professor Morris and is an internationally recognised urban / housing studies scholar.

Alan has recently completed a monograph on housing tenure and older people that will be available in 2016. His most recent research focus has been on long-term private renters. His publications in 2015 include the book A Practical Introduction to In-depth Interviewing (Sage), the book chapter 'Doing the 'hard yakka': Implications of Australia's workfare policies for disabled people' (with Wilson, S. & Soldatic, K.), Policy Press, Bristol and a journal article, The residualisation of public housing and its impact on older tenants in inner-city Sydney, Australia, Journal of Sociology, 5` (2): 154-169.
