Postdoctoral Research Fellowships Applications Now Open

Applications for the Chancellor's Postdoctoral Research Fellowships 2019, including Indigenous Research Fellowships 2019 are now open.

UTS and the UTS Institute for Public Policy and Governance are seeking applications from outstanding early career researchers for our most prestigious fellowship scheme.

UTS Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Research Fellowships (CPDRF) are awarded to outstanding early career researchers who wish to develop their research, teaching and learning, management and communication skills to become the next generation of leading academics at UTS.

This year, we're pleased to announce the launch of the Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Indigenous Research Fellowships as part of the scheme.

Benefits of the UTS Chancellor's Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Scheme include:

• a four-year combination research and teaching appointment
• research project funding of up to A$50,000

All fellows will be expected to engage in high quality research projects, produce high quality outputs, and contribute to existing and emerging teaching and learning areas relevant to UTS.

Candidates will have been awarded a research doctoral degree (equivalent to an Australian PhD degree) within the last five years. Research doctoral degree candidates whose thesis is under examination at the closing date, and research doctoral degree candidates who will submit their PhD thesis by 30 June 2018 may also apply. International candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates must nominate and consult closely with one UTS supervisor in developing an EOI. 

To be shortlisted, applicants must have an exceptional track record relative to opportunity as well as the commitment and potential to enhance the research capacity and culture of UTS.
