Management Challenge
 
The Local Government Professionals Australia Australasian Management Challenge (opens external page) finals were held last week. Winning teams from the eight Australasian Management Challenge regional events convened in Melbourne to showcase their management and leadership talents on a range of tasks. 
 
It was a hard-fought challenge, with Sunshine Coast Regional Council (QLD) awarded overall winners, followed by Darwin City Council (NT) in 2nd place, and then Dunedin City Council (NZ) in 3rd place.
 
This is the eighth year that staff from the UTS Centre for Local Government (UTS:CLG) have been involved in the delivery of this annual local government professional development program, providing facilitation for both the NSW regional and Australasian final Challenge events. Congratulations to all the teams that took part.
