CTWW offers exciting opportunities for students undertaking a postgraduate research degree. Students benefit from engaging with the world-leading expertise of CTWW academics. They are encouraged to establish long-term research themes that provide career continuity.
More than 80 students are currently undertaking research degrees with CTWW. Our students come from a wide variety of disciplinary backgrounds. These include civil and chemical engineering and biological and physical sciences.
CTWW research students will have opportunities to work with students from, and participate in exchange programs with our global partners (e.g. from Europe, China, and Japan). They can also obtain industry training through our PhD industry internship program.

Name: Minh T. Vu Year of completion: 2023 (expected) Testimony: CTWW has provided me with a balance of academic and industry research training. My PhD project has resulted in 14 research papers in Q1 journal in the field and has given several research awards and prizes including an MSA International Conference Travel Award, a 3MT Research Award, and an Excellence Research Student Award from the ARC Research Hub EESep. Importantly, during my PhD, I was awarded with an Internship top-up scholarship of $30,000 to get 6 months industry training from Infinite Water. I received a job offer from Infinite Water immediately after submitting my PhD thesis for examination. |
