Who do we work with?

We work with multi-site collaborative Cancer Cooperative Trials Groups [opens external site] and their members as well as the Cancer Australia National Technical Services [opens external site].

Cancer Cooperative Trials Groups

There are fourteen Cancer Australia-funded Cancer Cooperative Trials Groups (CCTGs) in Australia, conducting world-class, multi-disciplinary research. They include:

Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group (AGITG)

Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG)

Australia and New Zealand Sarcoma Association (ANZSA)

Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG)

Australian and New Zealand Children’s Haematology and Oncology Group (ANZCHOG)

Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Cancer Trials Group (ANZUP)

Breast Cancer Trials (BCT)

Cancer Symptom Trials (CST)

Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology (COGNO)

Melanoma and Skin Cancer Trials Limited (MASC)

Primary Care Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Group (PC4)

Psycho-Oncology Co-operative Research Group (POCOG)

Thoracic Oncology Group Australasia (TOGA)

Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG)

Cancer Australia National Technical Services (NTS)

CQUEST is one of three technical services funded by Cancer Australia for Multi-site Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Groups under the Support for Cancer Clinical Trials Program. The other two are:

Genomic Cancer Clinical Trials Initiative (GCCTI)

Cancer Research Economic Support Team (CREST)

What do we offer?

Core services

  • Provide expert advice to support the inclusion of Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) in cancer clinical trial protocols or other studies developed by the CCTGs.
  • Provide expert advice on data collection, analysis and reporting of the Quality of Life (QoL) and Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) components of trials developed by the CCTGs.
  • Lead training to build and improve the capacity of CCTG staff and members to develop and undertake activities that assist with the inclusion of QoL in trials, and the subsequent data collection, analysis, and reporting of findings.

Enhanced services

  • Advice, capacity building and training to the CCTGs on innovative approaches to QoL measurement
  • Advice, information and research support to the CCTGs on innovative approaches to QoL study design and data collection

Networks

We will also establish and maintain networks with organisations, locally and globally, involved with QoL research, and establish a QoL resource centre for use by the CCTGs and other cancer researchers and health professionals across Australia.

If you have any ideas for training or capacity-building exercises that you would like us to offer, please contact us.
