Title: Error Aware Clifford Circuit Compilation
Abstract:
Previous work has demonstrated improvements in the performance of quantum error correcting codes, by informing the choice of code on the error model of the target device. Currently, optimisation of circuits for quantum devices typically relies on heuristic methods such as CNOT or T gate counts, has been focused on the constraints of the underlying architecture.
Tying together the above concepts, I will discuss methods for optimising Clifford circuits against some compilation target defined by an error model and the tradeoffs between this and other approaches to quantum compilation.
