QSI seminar series: Dr Simon Devitt - Macquarie University
meQuanics - The Quantum Computer Game. How it works, what does it solve?
In this talk, I will be providing a DEMO and walk through of our little citizen science project, meQuanics. Designed to crowd source the optimisation of braid based topological quantum algorithms I will go over the main aspects of the game, how it works and ultimately what we are looking to do in a final release of the platform. The current version of meQuanics is a prototype only and still requires extensive development related to gameplay, design and narrative. Any suggestions, interest and help will be very well received.
I will refrain from talking much about the background theory of the platform, so a certain familiarity of topological codes (specifically the surface code and Raussendorf code) is assumed. For those wanting to play along, bring your laptop and log onto www.mequanics.com.au
