Women Deliver conference

WHO CC involvement: Prof Caroline Homer, Prof Pat Brodie, Dr Angela Dawson

The Women Deliver conference was held in Kuala Lumpur in May 2013 and hosted 4,500 participants from 149 countries. The WHO CC UTS attended the conference that was one of the largest gatherings of policymakers, advocates and researchers in women’s health. This was the 3rd global conference held by Women Deliver, a global advocacy organization which aims to improve the health and well-being of girls and women. Networking with other policy makers, advocates and researchers is important for the WHO CC UTS to advocate for women’s health.

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people, upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
