Our people

Our core members, associate members and Higher Degree Research students/postgraduate researchers come from a range of backgrounds in the Humanities and Social Sciences, including Cultural Studies, fine art, music, literature, sociology, history and education. Our researchers have extensive experience in research and in teaching (communication and knowledge sharing) and have worked extensively within the higher education sector and, as consultants and research partners, with a range of agencies, government departments, organizations and businesses. 

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people, upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
