CREST virtual workshop - Intro to health economics | 24 Nov
This virtual workshop will help CTG members understand and incorporate health economics in cancer research.
The Cancer Research Economics Support Team (CREST) is pleased to announce it will be holding a free, virtual workshop, "Understanding health economics in cancer research." This workshop is for members of the Cancer Australia Trials Groups (CTGs).
This workshop is for:
- clinicians and researchers
- those working or interested in cancer research who may encounter health economics in research papers or policy documents
- those who would like to consider how health economics may be incorporated into their own practice or research
Workshop prerequisite:
Participants will receive an email with course notes and videos that will provide a background on:
- An introduction to health economics and economic evaluation in research
- Study design for economic evaluation in oncology research
- Identifying, valuing and measuring outcomes and costs
- Interpretation of results of economic evaluations
In order to get the most out of the virtual workshop, participants are strongly encouraged to view the videos prior to attending the online workshop.
