ALGATEX Elevator Pitch - UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020
This is the transcript for ALGATEX Elevator Pitch – UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020.
The textile industry consumes large quantities of water and produces huge volumes of wastewater from different steps in the dyeing and finishing processes.
Hi, I'm Nick and I'm from ALGATEX.
Fashion, and in particular fast fashion, is a dirty business. And sadly, the industry is also getting bigger with more garments being produced from our favourite brands, it's easy to see that more heavy metal-based pollution is being generated and dumped into our environment.
Standard commercial fabric dyes currently employed in traditional textile mills are extremely toxic, as they contain heavy metals that are harmful for:
- the environment
- humans
- the economy.
Our bio solution frees heavy metals from textile wastewater by using all-natural algae pigments that are biodegradable, cost effective, less water reliant energy efficient and great for the planet.
Follow our progress, and learn how we're disrupting the supply chain in the fashion industry with our green-conscious solution.
Come help us fight the good fight, come back us at ALGATEX.com.
Thanks for your time.

AURALIS Elevator Pitch - UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020
This is the transcript for AURALIS Elevator Pitch – UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020.
Angus: It's the end of the week and you're keen to hang out with some mates, you play some music but it's only there in the background. You want the atmosphere that you feel in the city on a Saturday night: the people, the sound, the lights.
Jacob: To try and bring this atmosphere home, in 2018 the U.S. alone spent 1.96 billion US dollars on bluetooth speakers. You've brought the sound, the people, but what about the lights?
Angus: So, what if we could create another layer? An immersive experience almost a concert from home?
Jacob: We are AURALIS: the light of music.
Angus: AURALIS will visualize your music. As the sound hits harder it flashes brighter, as the sound gets quicker it moves faster, and when the music drops you see it all.
Jacob: And AURALIS is not just for your next backyard party. Use it to visualize a new track, to simply relax from a long day's work, or immerse yourself in your favorite song. Imagine if you could entertain your guests with an experience like no other.
Angus: Let AURALIS show you the light of music. Go to our website to find out more.

Blackgoat's elevator pitch
Blackgoat Elevator Pitch - UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020
This is the transcript for Blackgoat Elevator Pitch – UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020.
Hi, I'm Mark, the founder of Blackgoat Wetsuits, the sustainable design surf wear.
What is regular neoprene made from? It's oil which is toxic in production and for your skin.
And why are almost all wetsuits black? Well, it's the cheapest in production and oil is already black, but printing is possible.
We asked ourselves "can we change it?" so we came up with these ones, the initial designs for our new wetsuit brand Blackgoat Wetsuits, the eco-friendly wetsuit.
<Photos of Blackgoat’s initial designs are shown on screen followed by photos of the team>
This is us. I'm Mark the founder and surfer of Blackgoat wetsuits, and then I work with Emma and Mona the marketing and Instagram pros.
We create the wetsuits for design, eco-friendliness and more comfort. They are better than the usual ones.
I'm just a surfer who wanted to build something that would allow me to surf longer.
We want to raise money through investors in Kickstarter to buy our initial stock.
Follow us at blackgoatwetsuits.com.

Smart Posture Memory Clothing's elevator pitch
IntelliCloth Elevator Pitch - UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020
This is the transcript for IntelliCloth Elevator Pitch – UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020.
Hello, I'm Behrokh, the CEO of IntelloCloth, reminding people to remedy posture has always been an issue of compliance.
Physiotherapists have done their best by using different methods to help people correct their posture and change their bad posture habits.
But we should bear in mind that rehabilitation is a luxury that most people in low to middle income countries cannot afford.
Our product IntelliCloth helps both patients and physiotherapists by filling this gap.
It's a smart clothing that nurtures and reminds you of every single second of the day to correct your posture.
As soon as you start slipping with your posture, you're reminded at that instant and at that area of location with a nudge rather than a visual feedback on your smart watch or phone.
It helps and trains you to maintain a good posture in your daily life even while doing rehabilitative exercise.
So, it would be classified not only as an active garment but a protective health garment of the future.

Savvy Beverage's elevator pitch
Savvy Beverage Elevator Pitch - UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020
This is the transcript for Savvy Beverage Elevator Pitch – UTS Startups Festival Showcase 2020.
Hi, I'm Mark Curran, founder of Savvy Beverage, Australia's first mental performance and well-being company.
We help Australians to do more, feel better and stress less with our beverages.
Our mental performance coffee and mental well-being drink.
<Mark shows us his products: Savvy Mental Health Performance Coffee Pods and Savvy Mental Well-Being Drink>
We get it. In today's highly competitive world the to-do list only seems to get longer and it's so hard to keep up when we're bogged down with scattered thoughts and anxiety.
Sure, coffee and energy drinks provide a short-term benefit, but they always end with a crash. So I quit my job as a lawyer and worked on a solution.
Savvy is scientifically formulated with nutritionists with carefully selected vitamins, minerals, and tropics and herbal extracts. Hence, it's proven to work.
Savvy gives you longer-lasting energy so you have more time to do the things you actually love.
With Savvy, you can do more, feel better and stress less.
Thank you.
