Neil Chatfield

Neil Chatfield is an established executive and non-executive director with extensive experience across a range of industries. He was the Chairman of Virgin Australia and is currently a Non-Executive Chairman of Seek Ltd (since 2012), Whitehaven Coal Ltd (since 2007), Transurban Group and Deputy Chairman of Grange Resources (since 2009), all ASX listed companies.

Chatfield's career includes over 30 years experience in the transport, logistics and resources sectors, within Australia and the Asian region.
His most recent executive role was as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of ASX listed Toll Holdings Ltd, a position he held for over 10 years to 2008. During this period Toll delivered over 30% pa shareholder returns and became Australia’s largest transport and logistics group.
Prior to joining Toll, Chatfield held a number of senior financial and general management roles in the resources and transport industries.
Chatfield is also currently Chairman of HomeGround Services an independent not-for-profit group focused on the homeless and provision of housing around Melbourne. He has a Masters of Business in Finance and Accounting from UTS , and is a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA) and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD). In 2007 Neil was awarded CFO magazine’s Australian Chief Financial Officer of the Year.
