Luca Belgiorno-Nettis AM

Graduate Diploma Urban Estate Management (1983)

Luca Belgiorno-Nettis was born in Australia and graduated in Architecture and completed a post graduate diploma in Urban Estate Management at UTS.

UTS was … and is … a no nonsense University. Part-time working students want courses that relate to their day job. I found UTS did just that.

Belgiorno-Nettis is the Founder and Director of the newDemocracy Foundation, as well as a Former Joint Managing Director of Transfield Holdings, former Chairman of the Biennale of Sydney and former Chairman of the Arts Advisory Committees at UTS. He has a special interest in urban infrastructure and the politics related thereto.

In 2004, he founded the newDemocracy Foundation, a non-for-profit research organization focused on political reform. In 2009, he was awarded an AM for his work in the arts and the community generally.
