Teaching
Economics at UTS offers courses at the undergraduate, honours, masters and PhD level.
Our undergraduate programs are:
- Bachelor of Economics
- Bachelor of Economics Bachelor of Laws
- Bachelor of Business degree, in which we offer an Economics major, an Economics Extended major as well as sub-majors in Economics and Econometrics.
Students can combine economics with other areas of study to build the degree structure that best suits their individual interests and careers.
The world-standard research conducted by the Economics group contributes to our teaching and learning, supporting the application of leading-edge theories to practical problem solving.
The success of our alumni illustrates the strength of our economics education and how well suited it is for a variety of career paths – from project officer in a developing country, Reserve Bank of Australia researcher, or analyst with a major financial company or consulting firm.
The economic way of thinking helps us make better choices, and employers in diverse areas value the strong analytical and quantitative skills that come with economics training.
