Students and staffs are very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
What motivated you to study this degree/major?
I was interested in health and science, and medical science was between a health science degree and medicine. I was uncertain of what I wanted to do but thought it was a good place to start. I can now confirm that I had made the right choice.
I was also interested in languages and thought the International Studies component would provide a nice balance and fulfilled both my interests. In addition, the prospect of studying abroad and being credited for it was incredibly enticing.
What do you enjoy most about your degree?
Studying abroad and taking science and language classes.
Why did you choose to study at UTS?
The combination of medical science and international studies was only offered at UTS. It also offers a very hands-on approach and flexibility. Students and staff of UTS that I'd met at careers expos were also very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Plus the campus location was great.
What is it like to study at UTS Science?
Interesting and engaging. Some of the subjects are more specialised and different to those offered at other institutions but offer skills necessary in the workforce.
Is there any advice you would give to students studying this degree?
It takes a lot of patience particularly in the final year, and make the most of every opportunity.
