UTS IDeA Cadetships Information and Networking Session
Join us for our IDeA cadetship information session to discuss how we can help your business find the next generation of talent.
Australia is currently facing a severe shortfall in cybersecurity and computer science specialists. The Australian Computer Society (ACS) has reported Australia will need a further 30,000 cybersecurity specialists in the next four years and a total of 60,000 technology specialists annually.
This skill gap is already causing significant repercussions. In 2023, Australia faced some of the most notable data breaches and cyber-attacks across industries. And as we increase our reliance on technology for daily business operations, the demand for skilled computer scientists is increasing exponentially.
At UTS, we’re committed to addressing this challenge. Our Industry Degree Academy (IDeA) cadetship is the only program of its kind in Australia and is designed to bridge the skill gap by pairing talented cybersecurity and computer science students with businesses. Since its inception in 2022, the IDeA cadetship has connected over 110 highly skilled students with leading organisations.
Attend our IDeA cadetship information session to discuss how we can help find you the next generation of talent. This session will be a great opportunity to learn more about the program, its benefits, and how your business can get involved.
