Overview
The UTS Cosmopolitan Civil Societies Research Centre: a scholarly voice for civil society
The Cosmopolitan Civil Societies Research Centre (CCS) contributes to the analysis of the processes and relationships most conducive to the development of diverse, cohesive, peaceful, and equitable societies, through activities in civil society arenas and organisations.
CCS advances the study of civil society in its environmental settings as an emergent dimension of the contemporary world, as an arena of professional practice, and as a locale for the production of relevant knowledge and its application to the resolution of human problems.
CCS values collaborative, interdisciplinary ethical research that enhances understanding of how to build peaceful, tolerant and socially just communities.
CCS works to build widely respected measures of social impact that interpret the role of civil relations in longer-term social survival.
