UTS offers a very practical engagement whereby I was able to go to class aligning with my schedule”
I originally came to Business at UTS as a university change after experiencing a highly specialized and competitive degree elsewhere. What UTS offered was applicable learnings from its classes and coaches. Every class, lecture, and learning opportunity was tied to real-world examples to prepare for an accelerated career after I had observed many other degrees and peers of mine at other universities were all focused on skills that were soon to be proven out dated or not transferable. I chose to do Business at UTS for this future-thinking preparedness, transferability in skills, and credibility in school.
Human-centred problem solving was at the core of my business management major named Digital Creative Enterprise. The human-centered business problem mapping and solution design skills are skills that consultants, C-Suite, and highly trained designers and salespeople use every day. These skills were engrained into our cohort while using real-world dilemmas and opportunities of innovation and have since proven incredibly valuable in accelerating my career during term and post graduating.
During my 3 years at UTS, I worked full-time and still completed the degree on time with decent results. While I would love to take all the credit, this was only possible with the school’s nature of class scheduling, flexibility, and physical location in the city. While most universities in Sydney only offer that “full-time learning & campus experience”, UTS offers a very practical engagement whereby I was able to take lectures & tutorials just outside of business hours or remotely, and complete my full time work in-person, applying my degree learnings.
