Law, Social Justice and Technology
As technology continues to pervade all aspects of life, its legal implications continue to grow. Technology also brings new opportunities and problems for social justice issues such as access to justice, privacy and consumer law. Listen to our experts in technology law from the Faculty of Law explain their research and its social justice implications.
Students are encouraged to attend the Zoom event and ask questions of our faculty experts. Be inspired by their work and discover more about areas of technology law including the internet of things, digital platforms and artificial intelligence.
With speakers including Professor Derek Wilding, Professor David Lindsay, Professor Andrew Mowbray, Dr Sacha Molitorisz, Dr Kris Wilson, Dr Evana Wright, Dr Karen Lee and Dr Genevieve Wilkinson, you will hear snapshots of technology research and its important implications for social justice. You will then have the opportunity to meet these academics at the in-person Tech + Social Justice Week networking event on Thursday 14 September.
Please register for this event to receive a Zoom link one day out from the event.
If you have any queries about this week, email Law.StudentPrograms@uts.edu.au. Students engaging in the Brennan Program can self-claim 5 ROJ by registering and attending this event.
