Anti-racism training
Anti-racism - Everyday Allyship
Anti-racism is not a passive belief, it is deliberate action. In this session you will be introduced to racism and the way it manifests in Australia and explore tools to help combat racist behaviours and contribute to more inclusive cultures and environments.
Anti-racism and belonging in the classroom
Drawing on key concepts, provocations and practical strategies, the interactive ‘Anti-Racism and Belonging in the Classroom’ workshop teaches participants how to gain race literacy through pedagogical techniques. This aims to cultivate belonging in classrooms and other collaborative spaces through anti-racist teaching, learning and group work. This multi-modal workshop uses blended learning techniques to unpack:
what we think and how we think
belonging and race (with a focus on group work in class)
intersectionality and binary logic
principled spaces and (un)safe spaces
racialised microaggressions
best practice approaches
