Andrew's work as a councillor led him to focus PhD research on the experience of parenting children with autism.
I chose to study at UTS because the experience of studying here in the past was so positive and had great benefits. Lots of reading, thinking, and critical appraisal of ideas through supervision has broadened my perceptions and refined my clinical practice.
The decision to undertake a research degree was not at all daunting. UTS provides a lot of support. Faculty, academic and support staff are always friendly and accessible. As a student you do not feel like a visitor but part of the faculty and my supervisors maintain a sense of humour through the challenging process of keeping me on track. Graduate school staff at UTS are extremely supportive and helpful. They have assisted with a valuable scholarship application. The library staff are also fantastic and acquisition of information is made so easy, which is important for my studies.
