UTS:QSI's A/Prof Simon Devitt and A/Prof Nathan Langford are leading a project with Standards Australia to release a series of white papers on the role of Standards in Quantum. The white papers will cover topics such as quantum computing, quantum communications and networking and quantum literacy, education, and training.
The first two white papers, entitled "At the Intersection Between Scalable Quantum Computing and Standardisation” and a preview of the second, "At the Intersection Between Quantum Communication Networks and Standardisation”, are being launched next Monday, 3rd of April. The launch will feature an expert panel discussion on the scalability for quantum technologies, the role of standards and much more.
Quantum technologies are predicted to transform industries and the set direction for a technological revolution. With the contribution from the Commonwealth, Standards Australia is taking an active role in supporting Australia’s ambition to build a world leading quantum industry. The white papers will provide key insights into the world of quantum and give direction as to where Australia and standards need to focus to build a strong quantum industry.
