Disaster management
Our researchers investigate recurrent natural events in the face of climate change, land-use and other major disturbance events and their impact across different sectors of the society. We use this knowledge to improving how we prepare for, respond to and effectively manage disasters.
Our projects are driven by the needs of real-world practitioners and produce both new knowledge and tangible impacts for communities.
Our methodology focusses on GIS-based spatio-temporal multi-hazard risk assessment and mapping, sustainable infrastructure development, and their role in decision making.
