- Distinguished Prof. Alfredo Huete
Prof. Huete is a world-renowned remote sensing expert with 25 year’s experience on science teams for NASA (USA) and JAXA (Japan) satellites missions. He has developed operational vegetation satellite products for NASA that were implemented for the Terra and Aqua MODIS satellites from 2000, and have been implemented in a new generation of NOAA satellites, VIIRS for continuity in long-term climate studies from space. - Distinguished Prof. Biswajeet Pradhan
Prof. Pradhan is an award-winning expert in natural hazards, including spatial predictive modelling, hazard and risk assessments. He is a pioneer globally in combining spatial modelling with statistical and machine learning models for the prediction of hydrometeorological extreme events such as terrigenous mass movements, floods, and droughts. - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Amin Hoque
Dr. Muhammad Al-Amin Hoque is currently working as an Associate Professor of Geography and Environment Department at Jagannath University, Bangladesh. He completed his PhD in 2017 from Remote Sensing Research Centre at The University of Queensland, Australia. His PhD study focuses on Cyclone Disaster Mapping, Monitoring and Management Using Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis.

Prof. Ghassan encompasses different research areas, such as Metamodelling; Ontologies; Agent Based Modelling; Knowledge Based Systems and Information Systems Methodologies. His research applications include Disaster Management; IoT Regulations and Policies; Security Policies Management; Supply Chain Management; Intelligent Farming Systems and Cloud Migration. - Distinguished Prof. TM Indra Mahlia
T M Indra Mahlia is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, UTS, and a Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Engineering. Energy and Fuels, Techno-economic Analysis, Water-Energy Nexus, Life-Cycle Cost, and Circular Economy are among his research interests. He is a researcher on more than $5 million in projects funded by Government and Industrial organisations. - Assoc. Prof. Nagesh Shukla
Nagesh is currently an Associate Professor at Griffith Business School and an expert on the digital supply chain, transportation and logistics management (using explainable AI, IoT, simulation modelling and Edge AI). His research focus is on the development of (i) models helping business processes to be efficient and effective; (ii) analytical models for system-level simulation and optimisation; and (iii) data-driven algorithms for decision making. - Dr. Deepak Puthal
Deepak is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing, Newcastle University, UK and an Honorary Fellow at FEIT. His expertise is in Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Federated Adversarial Training, and the Internet of Things. - Dr. Sanjoy Paul
Sanjoy is the Program Director of Master of Strategic Supply Chain Management programs who works on supply chain risk management, and in particular, on recovery modelling using mathematical model and optimisation. His research interests include sustainable supply chain management, applied operations research, modelling and simulation, intelligent decision making and application to global supply chain interruptions.

- Associate Prof. Sumita Ghosh
Sumita is an academic who focuses on responsive urban design and spatial planning. Her core area of research is focused on ‘Urban Resilience’ that connects to multiple strands of urban sustainability research. Her research interests focus on green infrastructure planning and policy (urban forestry and local food production); urban morphologies, and climate change impacts and adaptation using spatial GIS and remote sensing applications. - Dr Jianguo Jack Wang
Dr. Wang is a lecturer with more than 20 years of broad experience in academic and industry. He is continuously developing his multi-discipline research in sensor fusion for surveying, navigation and perception; robotics and intelligent systems; environment-friendly transportation and housing; GNSS, IMU, Vision and Laser sensors modelling and data fusion etc. - Mukesh Ray
Mukesh is an urban planner with a focus on sustainable urban and rural development using GIS and Data Science. His research includes the use of computational GIS and big data analysis in urban growth modelling, urban analytics, environmental assessment, energy and evidence-based planning strategies that address critical issues of our times.
Disaster Management
- Prof. Hadi Khabbaz
Prof. Hadi is an award-winning civil engineer whose work has made significant contributions of a fundamental and pioneering nature, in particular, in the field of unsaturated soil mechanics. Hadi has focused on the theoretical and numerical analysis of soft soils, granular particles and unsaturated porous media, with strong applications to real-life engineering problems. He has been involved in soil behaviour modelling and ground improvement research, taking an active role in conducting practical research in the characterisation and modification of problematic soils and associated current ground improvement techniques for more than 20 years. - Dr. Behzad Fatahi
Behzad is an award-winning engineer working at the frontier of new infrastructure and building technologies and solutions, in particular, systems that will make infrastructure (e.g. roads, railways, pipelines, large energy storage tanks) and buildings safer subjected to complex loading conditions such as ground settlement and earthquakes. His research and practical interests include ground improvement techniques for roads and railway lines, the viscous behaviour of clays, bioengineering, soil-structure interaction, and unsaturated soil mechanics. - Dr. Sojen Pradhan
Sojen Pradhan is a senior lecturer at the School of Professional Practice and Leadership with an extensive experience of over 25 years in teaching. His research focuses on the intersection of social innovation, digital platforms and community development. He has worked on projects that address a range of social and cultural issues, including outsourcing to disadvantaged communities, volunteering opportunities for international students, and innovative solutions in rural tourism and education in developing countries.
