James Curran
James Curran is Professor of Modern History at Sydney University. A former Fulbright scholar, he previously worked at the Office of National Assessments, and in the Departments of Prime Minister and Cabinet and Defence. Curran is the author of a number of scholarly books and articles on Australian foreign affairs and political culture, and is currently writing a new work on Australian foreign policy and the rise of China for NewSouth Press. He has written research reports for the Lowy Institute, the US Studies Centre and China Matters, and his columns appear in the Australian Financial Review.
