The UTS Social Impact Dashboards collate data from across the spectrum of the university’s activities to measure our progress against the social justice goals outlined in the Social Impact Framework (SIF), and present it in a user-friendly format.

The Social Impact Dashboards aggregate data to measure our progress against UTS's social justice goals.

They demonstrate the university’s contribution to society and our own equity goals. They also identify areas where we need to improve.

By offering unprecedented transparency, they empower our community to uncover issues and instigate change. The dashboards are currently available to UTS staff and students.

Social Impact Grants – Enabling change using SIF Dashboards

The Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion is offering grants of $5,000 to $10,000 for university staff (and students) to understand and tackle social impact issues using the UTS Social Impact Framework Dashboards.

The Social Impact Grants – Enabling change using SIF Dashboards are for UTS internal projects, designed to support faculties and university staff to engage with and use the dashboards:

  • to conduct research to improve our understanding of metrics reported in the dashboards
  • to fill gaps in evaluation of the SIF by providing new data for the dashboards
  • to enact social change within UTS, in response to some of the data reported in the dashboards.

For more information refer to the grants information pack or contact SIF@uts.edu.au.

Grant information session and dashboards workshop

Five sessions were run throughout February and March detailing the types of projects eligible for these grants, as well how to use and interact with the Social Impact Dashboards.

For those who were unable to attend one of these sessions, we've recorded a mini grant information and workshop session for you to view on YouTube.

The dashboards use Power BI to translate aggregated data into accessible, interactive infographics that illuminate how we are tracking against our social impact goals.

The below data are samples taken from domains 1 (student access) and 6 (workforce diversity) of the Social Impact Framework.
