Belinda Fazekas, National Project Officer
Belinda Fazekas leads the ITCC team with over 15 years’ experience in the conduct of clinical trials within palliative care and cancer symptom management. She is integral to site selection and training for new and ongoing trials conducted by the ITCC and international partners.
Belinda is responsible for the development of recruitment strategies, key performance indicators, and standard operating procedures, and for the development of data management and monitoring plans.
Charmain Strauss, Research Assistant-Trials
Charmain Strauss supports the provision of coordinated trial management including the development of clinical trial implementation resources, providing education and training to clinical sites on study protocols, data collection worksheets, and case report form completion and data entry.
Charmain works with investigators to implement new studies, assist with protocol design, regulatory and ethics applications, and recruitment. She monitors studies to ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and other local regulations.
Jessie Ouellette, Research Assistant-Trials
Jessie Ouelette supports the National Project Officer with the provision of coordinated trial management and processes including the development of clinical trial implementation resources, data collection worksheets, data management plans, and clinical study reports.
Jessie also assists with project initiation from data points of view and undertakes study monitoring to ensure trials are conducted in compliance with the ICH-GCP and other local regulations.
Vanessa Yenson, Research Assistant-Writer
Dr Vanessa Yenson assists clinical trial researchers to develop clinical trial protocols, generate literature reviews and prepare grant applications and ethics submissions. She provides research, writing, and editing support to help convert new study ideas into clinical trials.
Since 2021, Vanessa has been a member of the Sydney Health Partners Consumers Advisory Working Group where she advocates for a strong consumer voice in health and medical research.
Yinyin Phyo, Rapid Program and Rapid Paediatric Program Coordinator
Yinyin Phyo is the IMPACCT Rapid Program and Rapid Paediatric Program Coordinator responsible for all aspects of the programs including site liaison, supporting principal investigators with the development, implementation and coordination of all Rapid and Rapid paediatric series.
Yinyin manages the collation of Rapid data for reporting and dissemination of series outcomes, including preparation for submission of journal articles.
